Mechanical protection
The X-Connect sleeve combines outer nylon, aramid/Kevlar and AISI 304/316L stainless steel mesh. Each layer responds to a different cutting strategy, increasing the time, effort and noise required during a vandalism attempt.
Security
In local RF architectures, several chargers depend on a single concentrator, such as Wi-Fi, 433MHz or another local gateway. If that concentrator is jammed or fails, the full site can lose communication.
With X-Connect, each charger has its own LTE/5G modem and its own independent mobile channel. The solution does not depend on a local router, operates on licensed networks and maintains a faster, more resilient alarm route.
Local RF, Wi-Fi or 433MHz can suffer jamming, metallic interference and latency. Break the concentrator and the local network is compromised.
Each charger communicates autonomously over LTE/5G. There is no critical local router to bring down and alarms follow independent mobile channels.

The solution was designed for installation in existing chargers without modifying the charger. The X-Connect team provides training and a mobile application for commissioning.
Nylon, aramid/Kevlar and stainless steel layers are prepared before being applied to the charging cable.
The intelligent sleeve is positioned around the existing EV charging cable without redesigning the charger.
Both ends are mechanically secured to make removal, twisting or cutting harder and slower.
The sensing wire is routed through the sleeve and connected to the X-Connect control unit.
The external finish protects against abrasion and gives the installation a clean field-ready look.
Fastening points are sealed, the device is powered and the installation is validated in the platform.
